Tony Bluett, the vision behind this website died peacefully on 10 January 2023 aged 92 after a long and rewarding life.
His passion for photography never dimmed. He was immensely proud of this website which allowed him to give back to the people who had bought prints of the pictures he had taken in and around Clonakilty over the years. He sold the pictures from his Chemist Shop in the centre of Clonakilty. He owned and managed Bluett’s Chemist for almost 50 years from 1958 when he bought the premises, to 2005 when he retired.
The first photo gallery was uploaded for public viewing in Summer of 2017. Public interest was immense from the start and has continued unabated since then. In honour of Tony we look forward to continue publishing many more photo galleries. His legacy lives on.
